'At the piano'
'At the piano' is a scene in my mind where the character (I picture Marianne Dashwood!) is at her piano playing away, dreaming and pining for her love...
Written after a trip to the Bronte Parsonage in Haworth. Walking on the bleak moors, reading the novels and exploring their beautiful home really moved me. I got home and went to the piano, imagining their characters and scenes.
This piece is the poignant moment where Emily is dying at Christmas time and Charlotte goes out onto the snowy moor to find her a sprig of heather, knowing it will comfort her.
